Journées de la curiosité - « Auf Flügeln des Gesanges » : la musique pour piano et pour voix de Mendelssohn et Schubert
Pour sa quatrième édition, les « Journées de la curiosité » vous propose la présentation annuelle des travaux de fin d’études des étudiant·es, en se concentrant cette année sur les recherches qui aboutissent à un résultat artistique concret : projets artistiques interdépartements, compositions, éditions critiques et transcriptions. Elle illustrera la vivacité de la recherche croisée entre les différentes disciplines artistiques enseignées au sein du Conservatoire. Lors de ces Journées de la curiosité, découvrez également nos doctorant·es lors de 3 concerts exceptionnels en rapport avec leur travail de thèse en Art et Sciences de l’art.

Felix Mendelssohn (1809-1847) and Franz Schubert (1797- 1828): two child prodigies, two melodic geniuses, but two radically different artistic lives. A contrapuntalist and admirer of the music of Mozart and Beethoven, Mendelssohn is often regarded as a ‘classical romantic’ who remained sceptical about the existence of new musical paths. Schubert, on the other hand, was a ‘Romantic Classicist’ who enriched the harmonic language and relaxed the formal principles of the classical style with a greater spirit of innovation and experimentation. In order to explore the similarities and contrasts between the two composers, this concert with commentary will be devoted to their romances and lieder, with or without words, as well as a number of piano pieces.
