Romanist, graduated in Drama at the Brussels Conservatory in 1999 and trained at the “Ateliers de la Chanson”, France Bastoen started her career at the Infini Theatre and work with them for many years, embracing lead roles such as Hermione in “The Winter’s Tale” , Silvia in “The Game of Love and Chance”, The Infante in “The Cid “... Collaborating with The “Zone Urbaine Theatre”, France kept a profound relationship with both classmate George Lini ( Wajdi Mouawad's Incendies, David Paquet's The Brasier, Anja Hilling's Black Animal Sadness …) and Jasmina Douieb (Wajdi Mouawad’s Littoral, Evgueni Schwarts’ Shadow).
Directed by Françoise Courvoisier in “Closer” at the Public Theatre , Philippe Sireuil in “Dirty Hands “ at The Martyrs Theatre, Frédéric Dussenne in “The learned woman”, France Bastoen is seen on most Belgian Theatre Stages. Her eclecticism led her to defend a Musical Theatre solo in memory of Marylin Monroe called “No Body Else” directed by Dominique Serron. So, Musical Theatre, Feydeau, Piemme and Camus are in her futur projects. In television, she has been seen in RTBF Series “Family spirit “ and “The Break” , while in Cinema we will remember Babeth in “Hidden Face” by Bernard Campan co starring Karin Viard. She is a reel Stage Lover and has a passion to share it through her teaching skills, determined to preserve memory in Contemporary Art as well as giving an impetus to the futur in the classical repertoire.
