Born in Braşov, Vlad Dimulescu started to play piano at Music High School in his native town – continued his musical studies at Music National Conservatory Bucharest piano with Constantin Ionescu-Vovu, accompaniament with Martha Joja, chamber music with Petre Lefterescu. Later he achieved Doctorate in Arts (Phd) in Cluj Music Academy with thesis „Repere de belcanto în pianistica chopiniană” (Benchmarks of Belcanto in Chopin’s Pianistics’’) with ValentinTimaru.
From 1990 he became University Assistent at Music Faculty of University„Transilvania” Braşov. From 1993 University Assistent at Piano Department at National Music University Bucharest. In present he is Phd. Piano Professor at the same Department also the Head of Keyboard and Chamber Music Department.*
He started piano carrier at 14 years old with Brasov„George Dima” Philarmonic Orchestra , directed by Ilarion Ionescu-Galaţi . Ater this event he performed in all the important musical center: Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Iaşi, Braşov, Sibiu, Timişoara, Craiova, Arad, Oradea, Tg.Mureş, Satu-Mare, Bacău, Botoşani, Ploieşti, Rm.Vâlcea, Piteşti, Constanţa.
He played piano recitals and chameber music at :Romanian Atheneum ”Ateneul român”,The Big Hall of National Radio Broadcast , The Small Hall of Royal Palace (all in Bucharest) , also in the main halls from: Cluj, Iaşi , Braşov,Sibiu, Timişoara, Craiova, Bacău,Tg.Mureş, Satu-Mare, Ploieşti.
He is a winner in piano competition such as : ”George Enescu” -Bucharest , Vina del Mar (Chile), ”Gh.Dima ” - Cluj, Salerno (Italy), Laureat of the Prize A.T.M. and the Prize of Romanian Musical Critics.
He played at music festivals : „Inter-Forum” (Budapest), ”Dinu Lipatti” Festival, „Lipatti Evenings” Chamber Music Festival (Braşov), „Festival de Musique Besançon”, ”George Enescu Music Festival” Bucharest, „ Les Nuits Pianistique” Chișinău.
He played piano recitals , chamber music and concerts in : Hungary, Poland, Italy , Germany , Portugal ,Spain , Greece, Bulgaria.
He had Master-classes in : Italy , Portugal, Spain, Greece, Poland. Iceland, Bulgaria.
He was jury member at piano competitions: ”ProPiano”Bucharest,”Carl Filtsch”Sibiu, ”Seiler” Sofia ”Lyons Club” Bucharest ,”Enkore” London, V.Giuleanu” Bucharest, ”Mozart”.
He edited 2 C.D.s one with Enescu, Chopin and Brahms and second „Chopin recital ”.
In 2004 he published the book Belcanto in Chopin’s Pianistic.
