From its very beginnings, jazz has made the trumpet one of its favourite instruments. It enabled jazz musicians to create new forms of musical expression that were very different from the classical or popular music of the time.
Students from the jazz department will be presenting a concert that places the trumpet at the heart of today's jazz.
