Arpanatolia
Founded as a duo by Çağatay Akyol and Ferhat Erdem in 2012, Arpanatolia gave its first concert in the presence of the Queen of the Netherlands, within the framework of the Expo-2012 organization held in Venlo, the Netherlands. After this first concert, the ensemble continued to perform both in Turkey and abroad and also participated in various festivals. In 2013, percussionist Suat Kuş joined the band and Arpanatolia became a trio.
The trio participated in many radio and TV programs as a guest. The group, giving utmost importance to social responsibility projects, gave a series of concerts within the scope of the ‘scream to the lake’ project organized to draw attention to the drying up of Burdur Lake, and took part in the documentary film shot for this purpose. This film, which was screened within the framework of film festivals held in many countries of the world, was screened at the 66th Berlin Film Festival in 2016, where Arpanatolia also held a concert. There is also a documentary shot for Arpanatolia under the theme of the program titled "Bringing Voices" shot in Cappadocia by TRT.
In percussion, Cemal Özkızıltaş joined Arpanatolia instead of Suat Kuş who left the group in 2018. In Arpanatolia's concerts, a visual presentation is performed by Can Özgün behind the scenes with musical accompaniment, while Bülent Yanıkoğlu carries out the sound engineering of the group.
Arpanatolia's first album Peninsula is released in March 2019 on all digital platforms with the ACM label, and it has also been released on CD.
Arpanatolia has performed concerts in important international festivals and organizations in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Bulgaria, Hungary, Italy, Canada, China and Hong Kong. The group, which also performs its concerts with symphonic orchestras, is planning concerts in Belgium, France, Japan, Germany in addition to the concerts to be held in Turkey during the 2023-2024 season.
