Classical and Contemporary Music
Motets
Musical composition that appeared in the 13th century, for one or more voices, with or without instrumental accompaniment, of variable length and written from a religious or, more rarely, secular text. This is the definition of a motet, which covers a multitude of choral works. The works in this first concert of the season in the Hall of Mirrors span different eras, from the Renaissance to the present day.
