Students from the Early Music Department present the fruit of their work in consort class. ‘Consort’ is a term used in the Renaissance to designate an ensemble of instruments from the same family but of different sizes and therefore different tessituras. The viol, violin, violone, recorder and dulcian consorts will perform polyphonic pieces from the Renaissance.
