Une tempête

Aimé Césaire takes up Shakespeare in his own way. On a Caribbean island Prospero, former Duke of Milan and the first of the great colonizers, subdues his two slaves, Caliban and Ariel, through sorcery. When Prospero creates a storm that runs aground a ship full of his former rivals responsible for his oceanic exile, Caliban decides to free himself and stop Prospero and these people from Europe before they extend their domination over all the western lands.
