Cathédrale des cochons

Jean D'Amérique: This piece is a kind of logorrhea where the intimate space gives birth to a political song, nourished by the lucid sap of poetry. I would obviously like it to be heard in this sense. But also because it puts forward a voice struggling with the darkness, a cry nourished by anger that emerges from the abyss to explode the bars and overcome the barbed wire night. For me, this would be a powerful way of highlighting the urgency of this word that rises up against oppression, in the same spirit as the single long sentence that makes up the play. A way of inviting the world into the journey of this song of resistance and hope in the face of night, which resonates with our time. I am delighted to know that Aurélien Dony and his team, with their poetic and political sensibility, are taking this text and bringing it to the public.
