COURANTS D’AIRS
18e edition - 13.03 > 17.03.2024

Courants d’airs takes place at Conservatoire royal de Bruxelles and at the heart of the city of Brussels with partner sites : city hall, Brussels Parliament, The Music Village... During the festival, close to 9000 people discover over fifty artistic creations.
This event is a real opportunity to create and approach the professional circuit for young artists.
The 2024 edition is more than ever a festival of openness to universality and the ability to adapt to unusual locations.
We hope to collect a multitude of original projects, collective creations, multidisciplinary associations for general happiness !

To whom ?

This call of projects concerns colleges of performing arts' students of Wallonie-Bruxelles Federation. The students should have validated the credits of two years in colleges of performing arts.
NB : The students can apply with only one project by edition.

Which project ?

2024 edition wants to be creative, free and autonom.
Original projects of of any discipline (theatre, music, opera, circus, plastics arts, performance, street theater, etc.) are welcome. Multidisciplinary projects are privileged and the works with others colleges of performing arts are recommended.
Musical and dramatic writing is also welcome, for artistic works likely to be read or performed in public.
Creations must be adaptable to different locations (indoors and outdoors). Performances last 15 to 40 minutes maximum. Technical installations and sets are kept as light as possible, so that each team is mobile and the sequences between performances are fluid.

How to apply…

A mandatory reunion is organised for every project carrier on the 8th of November 2023 from 4:40 pm to 6:30pm at the Joseph Jongen Auditorium (Chêne Site - Chêne street 17 - 1000 Brussels).
+ Inscription only in french and online.
A selection is planned to take place at the end of January. You will be asked to present a live extract (or artistic project for the plastic arts).

We define and coordinate the program, the production, the promotion and the public relations. But the success of all editions depends of participant involvement.
