Belgian Music Days
February 12 2024 13:00
The biennial "Belgian Music Days" was born in 2018 from the idea of bringing together all the institutional linguistic entities that make up Belgium around a common musical heritage.
The chronological framework concerns written music from 1830 to the present day, with particular emphasis on the music of living composers, without however being a festival of creation, and including, as disciplines taught in conservatoires, jazz and electroacoustic music.
The 2024 edition will take place in Brussels from 12 to 16 February 2024 in collaboration with Bozar, the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles and the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussels, the Belgian National Orchestra and the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel.
Programmed at the Conservatoire royal de Bruxelles :
The artistic committee of the Belgian Music Days is made up of representatives of Componisten Archipel Vlaanderen (ComAV), the Composers' Forum, Kunstenpunt, FeBemE-BeFEM, Matrix, ISCM Vlaanderen and the Union of Belgian Composers.
Belgian Music Days is supported by the Fédération Wallonie Bruxelles, Sabam for Culture and the National Lottery.
